About Me
CURRENT MISSION
ABOUT ME
I am a kind of grandmother !!! I prefer 1000 x IMPROVisation to ORGANisation. My best friend is my imagination and my weak points are impermanence and impatience. Professionally, I was lucky enough to be involved in different sectors during my life. I confess a weakness for ephemeral old scraps of paper and apothecary bottles from passed times.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's like meeting friends you didn't know you have !
CS is a superb idea ! I hope I can use this opportunity to give an other image about mature aged like me (just seen that less than 2% of CS-members are over 50 !) and about Switzerland
Interests
My last dada is to collect pigments from all over the world that I grind to make my own paint. I am also passionate about traditional handmade papers... one more collection !
- Architecture
- Middle Ages
- Cheese & Chocolate (but not together)
- Recycle - Upcycle - Détournement d'objets (sometimes I feel like "la reine de la Récup")
- I also like cathedrals, Tango, Belle Epoque, witch-gardens, running water, old boats... and Volubilis, because they grow in all exuberance and give ephemeral flowers of infinite delicacy
- I work in my own "atelier d'art modeste" www.ilemas.ch

Music, Movies, and Books
Musique :
Piazzolla, Klezmer, Paolo Conte, Melingo, Barbara.
Musique sacrée en général, ça me transporte loin, si loin... Monteverdi ("Lasciatemi morire" nel Lamento d'Arianna) . Vivaldi's Nisi Dominus. Purcell.
And great voices as Monserrat Figueras, Nuria Rial, Sandrine Piau pour atteindre le 7ème ciel !
Cinema :
"El Secreto de sus ojos" ( Juan José Campanella, Argentina).
"Departure" (Yojiro Takita, Japan).
"Himalaya" (Éric Valli) also for the music (Bruno Coulais).
"La Petite Chambre" (Stéphanie Chuat & Véronique Reymond, CH).
"Amour" (Michael Haneke, France).
Book of the moment, because I'm in love with Japan : Aki Shimazaki
Nicolas Bouvier.

Teach, Learn, Share
"I have no special talents, I'm only passionately curious" dixit Einstein
- I'm really good in cakes, making and eating them.
- I absolutely want to learn RAKU style pottery.
Couchsurfers : if you have manuscripts, old newspapers and documents of any kind (nothing precious) written in other characters than the Latin alphabet (or latin but very old)... or beautiful traditionnally made papers, that represents a treasure for me !
What I Can Share with Hosts
Every encounter is a subtle alchemy : alone, I do not have much to offer ! More specifically, I can prepare a meal, a bed for you, but the key is to be created together.
People without passion bore me a bit...
If you ask for hospitality, a bit of effort explaining why you decided to write to me is important. I try to answer to everyone but you will get a simply NO if I have the feeling that I belong to a long list of people, whom you sent your template request for a free room ;-)
