About Me

Hiya! My name is Tamás and I live with my cat in Budapest, Hungary. Currently, I'm working as a software developer, while doing night course in uni to finish my compsci degree, so I don't have much time usually except in Summer.

When I'm in a new city, I like to walk a lot almost 'til the wheel falls of and asking for more obscure places to visit. I speak English fluently, I unfortunately forgot to speak German almost entirely, but I'm trying to relearn a bit. If you find my Deutschlish annoying, which is very understandable, feel free to stop me, haha!

I probably forgot a lot to say here, so please do not hesitate, ask me anything!

I'm also new on this platform so don't have any references here, but I can provide a few from Bewelcome.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live with my cat on the very edge of the city but don't be discouraged by that, for public transport is really efficient around my place.

The night bus' stop, which departs in every 20-30 minutes is 4 minutes on foot and goes through the heart of the city, and if you're slick you can get into the center in 30 minutes via train. I also live close to the airport.

I can host up to 4 person somewhat conveniently. I have a really small separate room with a single bed. There's the living room which has multiple options:
If you're a smaller person, you might fit in the couch. I also have two foldable mattresses. The third option is an inflatable double mattress which leaks somewhere that I just can't locate, so you'd probably partially sink in it by the morning.

For couples, I can offer the previously mentioned double mattress, or the double bed in my bedroom, in which case I would move into the small bedroom.

The district, where I live is pretty residential, but if you want to have an authentic Hungarian experience, we could go out to the local flea market, watching or even buying some surreal stuff while munching on lángos or strudel/rétes. Or just buy some fridge magnets.

If my schedule permits, I can also offer some walking tours in the city and/or go to some underground concerts/pubs, which are my "go to" places.

I can also cook a vegetarian meal. Vegan options are also available, just please notify me beforehand. Also let me know if you're allergic or not prefer certain ingredients/foods and spice, WHICH I LOVE BTW!
