我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

To inspire. I feel that there's a lot of open minded people out here on Couchsurfing that are just thirsty with the desire to learn and see the world from other people's eyes.

Well, that's kinda broad lol 😂 I travel around the Antilles and been living on a sailboat since 2015. Bought it before even knowing how to sail. Learned the basis in a few books, got a 3 day crash course from the previous owner, practiced day after day for a whole summer on a lake, and decided it was time to start the journey. I've sailed from Upstate New York, all the way down to the Caribbean.

My goal is to sail around the world slowly and taking time to immerse myself in the culture of every country I visit.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance... That's the one I'm reading now. Very interesting and inspiring, it actually applies quite well to the sailing world, and many other things in life. Anyways, I won't list all the books, movies and music I like the list would be too long but I enjoy philosophical books, non-fiction mostly, inspiring biographies, and documentaries.

If during your stay the weather conditions are right, we might be able to provide a little initiation to sailing. Nothing formal, just a little trip to get to learn the lines and read the seas. Get a glimpse of what living on a sailboat is all about. Imo, If you haven't sailed, you haven't lived ;)
