Hello, I am Ilkin, a 23-year-old solo backpacker. I am currently in my 22nd country, Spain! 🇪🇸
I am lucky enough to have done Erasmus 4 times, live in different countries and travel to nearby ones.
And if you ask me my favorite out of 23 countries I'd say Vietnam for sure after spending 1 full month there!😃

My passion for backpacking comes from the idea that "the fewer items I own the more freedom and flexibility I have". Therefore, the total of my personal belongings does not exceed the size of my backpack(s). Because to enjoy life one doesn't need many materialistic values, happiness must come from inside.

Moreover, I prefer local and unique experiences rather than the usual and standardized luxury that can be found everywhere. I always walk or cycle when I am visiting a new place to really feel and discover the place.

As a guest, I am clean, quiet, easygoing, open-minded, appreciative, and respectful to the host. I always find ways to give back.

I can also host you depending on the availability of my accommodation because even I don't know where I am gonna be next month 😄

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

3 reasons why I'm on Couchsurfing:

1. Culture is everything. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds, listening to their stories, and sharing mine. I seek to learn something new from every acquaintance and to teach something in return.

2. I highly value local experiences as they are unique and only can be found in that specific location. You always get more insight in a local house rather than staying in a regular hostel made for tourists specifically.

3. I am a student traveler on a budget, saving up my allowance to travel. Because travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
