ABOUT ME

I'm 48 years old, and I've had lots of different jobs and adventures. For the past few years I've been teaching ESL but I've also been a waiter, a barista, a minor league building & zoning official, a mortician, and a few other things. I love cats. I don't smoke. I like to cook.

PHILOSOPHY

Do unto others as you would have done unto you, love thy neighbor as thyself, and love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, and mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I planned to couch surf in Paris at one point but my plans changed as plans sometimes do. Now I live in Columbus, Ohio with my Mom and I hope to try couch surfing for the first time as I get ready to move to Toledo, Ohio for a new job.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't tried it out yet but I think I'm ready now.

Interests

Food, music, wine, books, cats, flowers, art, human nature in the Christian tradition, fashion, and anything of beauty.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some movies that come to mind: Zombieland, Sideways, Bottle Shock, Good Dick, Nights in Rodanthe, Ever After, My Date With Drew, Casablanca Argo, Lawless, Grace of My Heart, Adaptation, Shrek, and Taken. I've enjoyed all of these and many more.

My favorite music is usually folksy in nature. Laid back folk-rock, bluegrass, alt.country, gospel, whatever.

I don't think I'm smart if I read science or philosophy, but I also don't think I'm dumb if I read a romance novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the light of learning in the eyes of a child.
