Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be a good and happy human being
ABOUT ME
I'm a PhD candidate interested in international relations, anthropology, sociology and history. I specialize in African issues, and have lived in five countries on two continents for the past nine years, and continue to live abroad. I'm a bit driven by the things I work with, but I spend most of my limited spare time with culture, or more specifically movies, TV-series, (mostly electronic) music and other things, or different kind of physical exercise. Occasionally when I feel like it I also write things to different newspapers or professional blogs. I'm also a vegetarian for ethical reasons, but in general pretty tolerant.
And I really do think it's difficult to summarize myself in the spaces below.
PHILOSOPHY
From the moment of birth every human being wants happiness and freedom and wants to avoid suffering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been hosting and surfing a few times, and everyone I've been in contact with through CS are people I'll never forget.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'v had a few second-hand couchsurfers who have come to Sweden through mutual friends, and I've been couchsurfing through friends in Japan. As I really like the concept
and as these experiences have been positive I thought to finally create my own account to CS.
Interests
Music (electronic, post-punk, classic, but pretty much anything good - except country and acid jazz, which I really can't understand), reading (too little fiction nowadays, but more scientific), history, traveling, movies, TV-series, different kinds of sports, traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I experienced one of my most amazing days in Central Africa, when my first niece was born. I'll never forget the roller coaster of emotions.
My goddaughter feels pride in me, and boasts that her godfather travels all around the world. I'll take her with me when she gets older.
These said travels have taken me to places where I've been the first foreigner to ever visit. During field research trips I've traveled to villages off the grid on cars, motorcycles, bicycles and on foot. The fact that I've met incredible people makes me incredibly grateful and happy.
