ABOUT ME

I have been involved in the CS community for a long time now, and I absolutely love carrying around the spirit to each new destination! I'm a language enthusiast, I will be overly into any piece of information on the languages you speak :) Meeting new people and being in that traveler mode are the biggest passions of my life, so I would be soo happy to exchange stories over long conversations and drinks :) I devoted quite some time to my academic work, so social studies, linguistics, and most forms of spiritual practices would be among the things I would love to talk about. I'm a queer individual based in Turkey, and I try my best to avoid eurocentric, islamophobic, and homophobic encounters. Other than that, I believe would have a little bit of sunshine to brighten your day :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everyone needs to take a break and feel the time flowing around them, from a new point of view, that comes with a new person to their life.Getting to know a person is creating a new person within you.

Looking back at all my experiences here, I think I need this family to not to lose myself in the awful routine of everyday life. So I am looking forward to hosting you, getting to know you and showing the bits of the city that I am familiar with :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Almost any kind, really.. Depending on the period, I can go from dubstep to classical music, from Turkish folk to jazz. Oh and I can show you some cool Turkish music as well.
Movies:
Mood Indigo is definately one of my favorites. Across the Universe, Science of Sleep, The One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, C.R.A.Z.Y., Mr. Nobody, Leon, The Man from Earth, Moulin Rouge

TV Series:
Westworld, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, Sense8, Family Guy, Steins Gate...

Books: Any book worth reading, really. Still I am mostly into classics like Woolf, Eco, Russian classics etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Each time I let the flow of travelling carry me around, I ended up experiencing some of the wonders of this world. Learning to do that, I guess, is the amazing thing I've done.

Teach, Learn, Share

It's different with every traveler, really. So far, making tattoos, making bracelets, teaching Turkish, tasting different food and going to places I love and have never been before has been really fun. Who knows what the next surfing will bring?

I will be seriously into your language if you're willing to help :) We can also practice English, Turkish, French or Spanish.

Overall, the main reason is to get to know each other and share experiences. I'm sure we'll love it!
