CURRENT MISSION
To meet new people and have adventures
ABOUT ME
Gosh, what to say...Im not really shy or outgoing. I'm sorta in that stage where I'm shedding my shyness, but it's still nerve-racking to be outgoing. I suppose I'd say I'm friendly. I'm hoping to go to Ireland someday, and visit my grandfathers home country, Kenya. I love to travel, just like everyone on this site. It doesn't have to be far, I just want to experience new things and meet new people. I really try to be genuine. I know a lot of people act stereotypically cause they think that's how they're supposed to act. I put a lot of effort into finding who I really am, and if some of my traits fall into a stereotype, then I know that its me, not society.
I got married in January 2013 to my wonderful husband, Scott. He is very new to Couchsurfing and also very skeptical. But he is also one of the coolest people I know. He loves motorcycles, reading (he practically worships books), and working with his hands. He's caring and thoughtful and loves a good joke.
So we hope to meet all of you and be as helpful as we can to make your traveling experience fun and exciting!
PHILOSOPHY
Be real. Know yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hoping to be a host to meet all different kinds of people, and to travel the country meeting all different kinds of people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have hosted some surfers and we've had a blast exploring Seattle. I've learned more about my city with surfers than on my own!
Interests
I love to sew. Not really a lot of clothes, but more of purses, scarves, embroidery...that kind of thing. (I have done a few dresses though.) I also love to read. Trying to get back to how I used to read: 3 or 4 novels in a week. Now with a toddler...it's difficult. But I'm finding time to read a few chapters before bed. Interior Design and Business are my passions. I'm going to get a degree in each, Associates and Masters respectively.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am always amazed at how people can just uproot and go somewhere new. I have this huge fear of being homeless, so its hard for me to take chances. I see a lot of people with immense amounts of faith that no matter what happens, they'll be fine, and I have a lot of respect for that.
On September 15th, at Pike's Place in Seattle, I saw a guy with 2 hula hoops, playing two guitars, a harmonica, and 3 maracas. Oh, and he was singing. It wasn't bad, actually, he was pretty good at it.
