I'm a nerdy interaction designer with a big interest in technology. I play guitar in an all girl cover rock band. I love to discover new places and have just moved to Utrecht for a job. I design and develop products that make moving around a lot more fun. I'm still busy exploring Utrecht and am always open for drinks, dancing, pizza and cool ideas. I have a tiny room and a very busy schedule, so hosting is often a problem, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing as I had a tiny burn out during my entrepreneurial venture in London. I decided to travel across Scandinavia and meet open hearted and minded people as well as travel alone and get in touch with nature. Both have exceeded my expectations and I have met the loveliest people and had the best time ever. I'm always up for meeting new people and discovering new places!

兴趣

I love to draw and create art as well as program and develop software. I've been the best female chess-player in my old home town four times. I love pizza and beer, but also whiskey and fine cuisine. I only host when I have time and we have some things in common, so please add the words "pizza love" in your request to at least show you've taken the time to read the about me.

I love to explore the deepest unknowns of every city and try to walk (or actually bike) through all the small streets in order to find them. Preferably would even find them with the locals!

There is very little I really don't like besides for original Dutch folklore. But I love rock and indie bands, which we also play with the band (Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, the Strokes, QOTSA, Wolfmother, the Killers, Foals etcetc), but also electronic music to dance to.

Favorite movies are Fight Club, Neverwas, Lord of War, the Royal Tenenbaums and Seven Psychopaths.

I'm currently reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King and I'm liking it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A trekking hike in the mountains of North-Thailand where I've spotted a wild venomous snake and slept with a hill-tribe. I've surfed in the rain in Sri Lanka whilst there was a sunset. I've ridden a TukTuk drunk and dangerously. I've played for > 100 people during a gig and won the band contest. I've finished my computer science based master whilst being one out of the two only girls after being told off after joining. I've seen the northern lights with amazing people while travelling and I've driven through a snowstorm and survived.

I want to share my cooking skills and help in the house or buy some drinks when going out. I can teach some guitar skills if people have a dusty guitar lying around, if it's perfectly clean, perhaps we can jam. I'm pretty good with electronics or programming, so if you want help with that, I can definitely help you out.
