About Me

Hi! I'm friendly and laid back, and easy to get along with. I've recently decided to leave my career and home and spend some time seeing the world and meeting its people. It's been ten years since I last backpacked and I'm excited for whatever is to come! I don't have much of an itinerary, so I'll be going wherever the wind takes me.

I spent my early years growing up on the family farm in small town in central Alberta. More recently I've spent the last 8 years living in Calgary and Vancouver. I really enjoy living in new places and gaining a new perspective and appreciation for other cities.

If you have any questions I'd love to tell you more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be travelling eastern Canada, Europe, the Mediterranean, and wherever else intrigues me along the way. I'll be travelling by myself so it would be awesome to be able to stay with people and make new friends that can help me get a feel for where they live and allow me to experience a local perspective.

I Couchsurfed Australia many years ago and it was a great success, and it looks like the community is still as strong as ever!

Interests

Im really easy going so I have fun doing a lot of things. I enjoy things like camping, hiking, and general outdoors, sports and recreation. I love great food and drink, both prepared at home or out on the town.

A large part of my trip I hope to spend hiking the country side wherever I am, or from town to town.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A 900km hike along northern Spain on the Camino de Santiago. I spent 35 days walking and spent time on 4 Camino routes from December to February.

Teach, Learn, Share

My career has been in web design for the last ten years so I may be able to teach you a thing or two about building a website! Or possibly teach you a little French.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to contribute around the house. I can cook, clean. I'm experienced with technology. I'm quite flexible! I'm also quiet and low maintenance so hopefully won't be much of a burden ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Croatia, France, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
