About Me

CURRENT MISSION

experience life after finshing my studies

ABOUT ME

Definitely someone who dislikes the 'about me' section on these sites!
I'd say I'm a pretty down-to-earth and straightforward person. I like food, drinks, and long conversations. My father has an art gallery, so as a host and tourist I'll always be interested in art (muesum or street), as well as local history. I try to not take life too seriously and to always question what society expects from me vs. what I want to do.

PHILOSOPHY

I can resist everything but temptation (o. wilde)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly host people because I plan my travelling according to where my friends live.. :) so I end up seldomly needing hosts!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so many positive experiences! I like to really take time and show my guests around, but that means I'll only take guests when I'm not terribly busy..

Interests

art and its history, music, politics, books, interesting tv series, history in general. walking around for hours in new cities and losing my way constantly. COFFEE. fun. parties and going out. living abroad - not just travelling /which is great too obviously!), but working and challenging myself to adapt to a new place.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: my all-time favorite is, I think, "le fabuleux destin d'amelie poulain" - I love this movie! I love independent, small cinema.

music: I'd say mostly rock and hiphop, some ska and jazz or tango. Chanson francais and singer/songwriters in other languages.

books: impossible to say, since I read almost everything people gave me to read since I'm five years old. I enjoy good books, but I'm addicted and read books frome all kind of genres..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Guatemala as a protective accompanier of human rights defenders..

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Montenegro, Peru, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bolivia, Guatemala, Netherlands, Sierra Leone, Switzerland
