ABOUT ME

People, the pursuit of knowledge and experience are the most valuable things to me. Sharing laughter with someone new or having a fruitful discussion about something--anything--is something I actively seek. It brings me to this site.

I do technical web stuff by trade, but I surround myself with people that are either:
- open-minded/free-spirited
- suffering affinities for THE ARTS
- self-aware/intellectual/self-suspicious
- obnoxiously hip / poorly dressed
- not actually people, but instead dogs or cats
- "characters"

PHILOSOPHY

Hmm. Mainly, I try not to assume too much about what I know or can know. When you really buy into that kind of thinking, things like human compatibility and (or) that feeling you get looking at mountains become the most sacred things in life.

Also, I distrust "faith" - it's belief in something 1) unknowable (definition of faith) 2) we would prefer to be true. That's a good recipe for 1) being wrong, 2) reasoning contaminated with bias, 3) alienating others. Suspending conclusion is humility. Be humble!

I work from home and can do my job most anywhere, so I'm going to start roaming around in the interest of discovering new places and new people. I'm open to discuss hosting to be a good participant.
