I love artistic and creative things such as musicmaking, photography, artsy films, coffee snobbery, and improvisational cooking. I like wine but am not a wine-o; and I like whiskey but really know not much about it.
To cook decently, I need good healthy water, good quality food, and fewer ingredients. I love apples and bananas and berries of all types, most especially, Alaska Blueberries (ready to pick in July!). My diet is largely vegetarian, sometimes vegan, and occasionally I'll eat some flesh, but only when my body makes me feel ferocious!
Photography is a hobby, and I don't give my interest enough attention. Luckily, in Alaska you don't need a good camera or skills to take great photos, everything around you is photogenic.
During my days and hours off of work, I might be hiking up a mountain or through what feels like an undiscovered creek. I love taking photos at the summit of a mountain with a 360 degree view of the Alaskan Range, with Denali on one side and Mount Deborah on the other. Early season, after the snow has melted away, the flowers vainly open up in a nice portrait setting.
During my days and hours off of work, I might be practicing the trombone or playing my ukulele at the local bar, sharing music with friends over a pint of beer or glass of red.
Collaborative living is important for me. At the least, a zero-sum relationship should be accomplished, but in the way that both people gain something. I've very much into equality, and know that I have an advantage being a white American Male -- nevertheless, I open doors for everyone when it feels right, and let the door open for me other times. It's all about awareness and balance.
I've many stories, but I usually keep them to myself unless prompted :)
Since I don't smoke, I decided to grow a mustache
I run up the stairs because I'm too lazy to walk up at a normal pace
I've hitchhiked a lot. Like 50,000 miles or so
200 mL of black coffee has 1 calorie
Maybe I have slight hearing loss because of this, but sometimes I really love to listen to complex, intricate music, very loudly

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to practice Spanish more often.
I might be able to teach you how to play an instrument; at least the basics. Everyone has musical talent, there's rhythm and music in our bodies and souls, and I might forcibly teach you some ukulele chords so we can jam together. Earth, Life, everything is made of energetic wave-like rhythmic patterns; if you say you have no rhythm, you're lying to yourself.
Coffee, its history, culture, and its deliciousness.
