About Me

I'll start with the boring stuff :)

COUCH STATUS and LIKELIHOOD OF BEING HOSTED:

Please understand that my living situation has very limited space, and limited resources. I'm staying in an employee housing area 8 miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park. I live in a tiny cabin with floor space or a bed to share, and can only host ONE (maybe perhaps two) people for only one night. I will also have to let everyone I live near/with know, so please be personable. I cannot host "anyone." You'll have to arrive on a day I can meet you, be able to connect to me somehow (either through similar hobbies or beliefs), or be a friend of a friend. You can check our friend connections using facebook www.facebook.com/incogitatus -- please don't add me; this is only for reference. In other words, I will probably NOT host you because I'm working, camping, hiking, playing a show, or am generally too exhausted to do so :)

You can always try I suppose.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've participated by: surfing, hosting, traveling, exploring, music playing, coffee drinking, imbibing, gathering, disliking, liking, loving, loving!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Where do I start? Signed up in 2007 and my life changed from there.

MY OPINION ON COUCHSURFING
Well, I had a better opinion of it years ago before it sold out. It's still a useable social and traveling tool, but I've seen the quality go downhill over the last couple of years. I miss the days of old with CS: city groups, map search, "how are connected", funny little badges, vouching wars, purposeful negative reviews :) *sigh*

CURRENT MISSION
to go where the roads cross and where the roads end

ABOUT ME
I drink coffee, hitchhike and play music. Maybe more :)

PHILOSOPHY
Since I don't smoke, I decided to grow a mustache.

Interests

above all, my nieces and nephews
the trombone

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I was rescued from the Teklanika River by the same hunter that found "Alexander Supertramp's" lifeless body in the bus in the Alaskan wilderness ... 20 years exactly from the day.

Teach, Learn, Share

Food. FOOD. Teach me and I'll teach you!

Music Theory, History and Music Psychology are a great things to discuss with me (which I have limited knowledge of!). We could play some tunes if you bring an instrument.

Coffee, its history, culture, and its deliciousness.
