ABOUT ME

Phew, all about me? That could take a while.
I was born in Philly, lived in NYC (Brooklyn) for 5 years and a short stint in Indonesia.

I have worked as a barman for the past 13 years. Naturally, working in a bar afforded me opportunity to meet many different folks. Currently, I am enrolled in a Radiology Tech program here in Philly.
I am planning a trip to Europe and/or UK during my winter break in January. I have traveled extensively in Ireland/England and Asia but somehow skipped right past Europe.
I'm a pretty easy-going and energetic guy and get along well with most people.
"Plays well with others" was noted on my report card when I was a kid. Ha! I am extremely low maintenance and pretty much up for anything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS. I've hosted many a friend's friend if they needed shelter and a laugh.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As stated above, I am new to this game. However, I do have a friend who has done a bit of surfing/hosting and has sung CS's praises.

First and foremost...a nice meal, great glass of wine and a friendly face is the best way to spend an evening. But, a rock show/DJ, wiskey and several friendly faces is a splendid way to spend a night. I am really into music (indie/punk) and try to go to as many shows as I can. I have recently become obsessed with ancestry research. I am of Irish/Scot/German/Inuit origin. My families story is pretty standard American - all of my ancestors arrived to the States in the late 1800s and were mainly employed by the ship yards, railroads and weaving mills.
I am an avid reader and have dabbled a bit in Photography. The rest of my interest are pretty standard: museums, architecture, history, coffee, visual arts, food and travel.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I lived in Indonesia (Jakarta) for 4 months in 2008/2009. I went there to help a friend open a bar. I was able to visit Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Bali, Singapore and South Korea. KL was my favorite of the lot.

I moved to NY on the morning of September 11th and was part of the volunteer mission.
