Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Ines from Jakarta, Indonesia. I love traveling, experiencing local life, and learning about different cultures.
I’m an easygoing and flexible person who enjoys adventures as much as meaningful conversations or a good meal. I love connecting with people and I believe that every person, every place has something valuable to share.
Right now I take a career break to explore the world. After spending around 10+ years working in radio industry and digital marketing, I decided to pause for a while and pursue what I have been dreaming for long to explore places. Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by the idea of seeing the world. One of my fondest memories is going to the bookstore with my mother, she would let me pick any book I wanted to read, and I would spend hours lost in different stories. As I grew older, my desire to see the world with my own eyes only became stronger, and now, I finally have the chance to make it happen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me traveling is not just about seeing new places, but about meeting people, sharing cultures, and creating unforgettable experiences. Couchsurfing allows me to connect with locals, experience a place beyond the surface, and hopefully give back by sharing my own stories and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to so many kind of music, but lately I enjoy anything that’s easy listening.
As for movies, I watch a lot of action films, but as a fun little treat in my free time, I love watching animated movies.
And for books, I love Harry Potter and I read it the first time when I was 12, and I’ve finished the entire series. In my opinion, the books are so much better than the movies. These days, I’m more into reading biographies and history books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Hiking Mount Semeru, the highest volcano in Java and see it's active crater
- Solo trekking in Annapurna - ABC route
