Overview
About Me
I am a software engineer living in Shanghai, developing autonomous driving system, coding for most of the time but generally do not live a geek life.
I love music, having been learning guitar for several months, and picking up piano recently, following Alfred's adult piano all in one book, and practicing Czerny 599. It's super fun.
I started to practice Brazilian Jiujitsu this, but got injured and had to give it a pause. I really enjoyed it.
I speak Chinese and English, also learning German and Italian for a few months. Learning languages and seeing the culture and history behind them is quite fun, always want to be a linguist.
Just started to see the world, so everything is new to me. I am happy to make friends, especially to communicate with older mature ones from whom I always learn a lot.
I generally enjoy all kinds of alcohol, but have most knowledge in whisky and beer.(I visited Germany and now I am visiting Scotland! very excited). I also like wine but that's a much bigger world to explore, actively looking for a guide to it.
Yes I am gay if you want to know that : )

Music, Movies, and Books
*****Music*****
Rock:
Dire Strait: definitely my favorite! I love their incredibly well recorded and mixed songs, and the beautiful solo. I also Iike Mark's voice, fit in very well.
Bob dylan, Green day, Joni Mitchell. I like good guitar melody
Older things: I listen to some classic music, Bach, Chopin, Debussy, etc, but not an expert, trying to be.
I play Chinese traditional intrusments, was in an orchestra for a while. I have show you some authentic ancient Chinese music.
*****Movies*****
I don't watch movie a lot, but I really like the movie Before Sunrise. That is the old time romance that will never happen in this era.
*****TV Shows*****
Shameless: Somehow I enjoyed their chaotic life, and how they never give up
Succession: Great series to tell you what daddy issue is
Babylon Berlin: Just started to watch, love the 1930s dressing style and music and dancing.
*****Books*****
Fyodor Dostoevsky, I read a lot of his!
García Márquez, I read his One Hundred Years of Solitude as a 12 year old kid! but I really fell into that magic world.
George Owell 1984, well, we know that...
Italo Calvino, interesting story and structures, but tbh I didn't understand them all
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Take tons of interview and find a nice job in one week when my student visa was refused by US embassy. I made so much effort applying to schools in the US but well, we need to accept the reality and find a way out
