...finding my ecological niche. As I'm finishing my studies, I decided to take a time-out afterwards in nature, meet new people in new places and just travel a bit before starting my PhD and get back to the laptop.

ABOUT ME

Puh...I made the experience that when yo try to describe yourself it always differs to how people see you in reality!
However, I guess I am a rather comfortable person to hang out with, interested in people and in learning from them. I enjoy hearing people's opinion and to exchange ideas ... and last but not least, I frequently think the best thing to do is nonsense and just enjoy!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started CouchSurfing in 2011 and made awesome experiences that really widened my horizon and were super contagious.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CouchSurfing experience actually started during my voluntary year, in Jordan. My flatmate has been an enthusiastic member of the CouchSurfing Community and invivted travellers to our wonderfully pretty appartment. After meeting several Couchsurfers, and chatting with them, I thought the Project was pretty exciting; hearing about their CS's stories and just meet other people was and still is a great experience. They inspired me, to try it too and so my CouchSurf experience led me through Jordan and Israel/Palestine as well as to Berlin - to my former flatmate :P

I enjoy hanging out with friends and with people in general. It is always fun to get to know new people,their experiences and opinions and to get inspired by them.

Furthermore, I enjoy dancing a lot and discovered Lindy Hop as one of my new favorite dances!

Well, my interest actually lies in everything, that is fun, teaches or develops me further. To be honest, I am not sure what exactly that could be, but I am willing to be convinced and keep on being curious .

Movies: mmmh...what about: Up, Donnie Darko, Inception, Shutter Island, Melancholia, Brokeback Mountain...too many to mention and to be honest, it just would be a meaningless list of movies :D

Music: like each of these categories it is difficult to really decide...mmmh...actually, I'm pretty open towards nearly all kinds of music. However, I can give you an example lists of some actors I recently enjoy:
Fall Out Boy, Little Comets, Atlas Genius, Kakkmaddafakka, The Royal Concept, Bastille, M83, Mumford and Sons, Mighty Oaks, Everything Everything, Ewert and the Two Dragons, Philipp Poisel, Two Door Cinema Club, Young the Giant, Walk The Moon, Ásgeir, Vampire Weekend, Antonio Paul...too many to mention

The most amazing thing I've ever seen was the memorial of the first fight between Muslims and Christians in Mu'ta!...The neighbouring town of my beloved second home Mirwid! Just Kidding! But I suppose, the probably most amazing thing I've ever done so far is everything around and including Mu'ta, which has been my voluntary year in Jordan. It has been the first time I moved out from home and has led me immediatly thousands kilometers from my familiar surroundings - love it! :)

I like exchanging opinions, views and ideas of any kind (though honestly not really interested in sports :D)!

I will bring my mini-mini-mini-set of aquarell brush pens and if you like we can just lay back and draw - I find it extremely soothing.

Also, I like cooking with and for more people than just for me! :)
