About Me

I am a curious, open minded femme who draws energy and inspiration from human interactions and new experiences. I am a cinephile, artist, culture enthusiast, agnostic and hedonist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My home is a place that is always welcoming everyone in need. A friend we hosted for a few days during a different period of transition said that “a home that welcomes guest, is a blessed place!”

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything ranging from latin american salsa over musicals to german hip hop. I love to listen to music from all around the globe of all kinds of genres and I try to always give artists a chance.

I have been exploring the international world of cinema for the past five years with a special focus on the french new wave and the polish postwar period. I have already watched productions from around 800 different directors from more than 70 different countries. And I am always trying to expand my digital film diary that can be found on letterboxd.com/inga_stb

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to spent a year with a wonderful and loving family in Costa Rica who treated me like a member of the family and gave me the chance to truly experience their home, culture and life as well as worldviews through their eyes. The hostility, patience, empathy and gratitude for the smallest things in life that these people showed me are things I will always remember and be grateful for.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned that communication is the key to everything and that sharing thoughts, opinions, ideas and world views is the key to understanding oneself better and growing as a person. I would be very grateful to be able to see the world the way you see it so we can learn from each other. I also love sharing my cultural heritage with others and getting inspired by them.
