Overview
About Me
I love travelling and meeting new people. Especially travels where the travel itself is an important part of the experience just as the destination. I've been hitchhiking, couchsurfing, interrailing, volunteering, hiking, biking and tenting around. So I feel like couchsurfing is very much supporting my travel needs and dreams.
I've been working as a German teacher for 5 years, but now my job is at the Cathedral of Viborg, where I am coordinating our volunteers, planning events at church and teaching music for children and adults as a choir director. I'll tell you more about the job, when we meet. All I can say is that I'm feeling a bit like an octopus with so many different tasks 🐙
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I prefer to interact with people, listen to their stories and perspectives on life rather than to just travel with a check list of famous monuments and tourist attractions to be seen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been volunteering in Africa twice and it was absolutely amazing. Living and working with locals taught me so much. Since my profession is teaching it was an enriching experience to teach students in another culture. One thing I've learned from my students is that a good teacher is a passionate and caring person with sincere interest in her students. And I think that description is not bounded to a single country or culture.
