Overview
About Me
Australian student travelling Europe in 2015, new to couchsurfing.
I've been on exchange in Sweden this year, and from June will be on my first solo trip and first European backpacking adventure. New to travel but already love it!
I enjoy knowing individuals from different walks of life, discovering places and cultures, and learning and experiencing as much as I can. Travelling alone gives me the opportunity to take more chances and meet interesting people. Open-minded and positive, vegetarian food-lover, enjoy both quiet time and partying.
In Melbourne I study psychology and have worked as a swimming teacher for children for 3 years. This taught me that you can learn from anyone at all- kids are hilarious but can also be very wise sometimes! Although I'm vegetarian, I have no problems with others eating meat in my presence. I love animals, so pets are a plus! My gorgeous dog and my sewing machine are the two things I miss most about Melbourne, along with my closest people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For this year, I want to stay in friendly environments, meet new people, experience more genuine, and less tourist-focused, sides of Europe.
Couchsurfing embodies what travel should be all about- being out of your comfort zone, meeting people you never would usually, creating understanding across cultures.
In future I want to host others to offer them a similar experience!
Interests
Many- anything I feel I can learn from.
Strolling around the city is my favourite way to get to know it. I also love to experience nature when I can, and escape from the city occasionally.
Techno, funk and classical music, good books, psychology, philosophy, sewing, craft, environment, vego/vegan food and art interest me most of all :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting on a plane for the first time, alone, at 20 years old, and going to the other side of the world- best decision I've made.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to cook a meal and enjoy a good conversation with you, explore the city together or leave you to your own devices! I like to spend time exploring the city on my own, but will also happily hang with hosts over meals or a coffee.
Some small tasks like cleaning, gardening, shopping, pet-sitting, etc, I would like to do to help my host.
It goes without saying, I'll show respect in your home and be tidy and clean. I appreciate honesty and openness!
