About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a calm and friendly person who likes to meet new people. I am open-minded and really enjoy discussing/talking about pretty much anything. It i€™s always interesting to hear other people's views on things and about experiences they'€™ve had. My friends would probably say that I'€™m kind, very organised and outspoken. And that I tend to keep my home clean and tidy... I also like making jokes and you'd probably think that I'm funny if you like an ironic sense of humour:-)

I studied English and international relations at university with a focus on peace and development issues. I'€™m interested in current affairs and like to keep up to date, particularly regarding international news. Currently I'€™m working with coordination of clinical trials. In other words my job does not have anything to do with my area of study (maybe apart from intercultural communication since the company I work for is French ;-)). But I like what I do and it'€™s fun to have learned something completely new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted surfers in Stockholm, I go to local CS events from time to time and try to help out with advice here on the website and has organised local meet ups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of it has been great so far :-)

Interests

I love sports, particularly football (soccer). I used to play when I was younger but not anymore. I follow the European leagues more or less and when I watch football I prefer the English Premier leauge and Champions leauge (in Europe). But I'm always up for watching a game.

I'm also into health and exercising and like to go running a few times a week. Apart from that and the occasional workout it's good fun to play badminton which I do whenever I get the chance.

Other things that I like are good food, beer and hanging out in pubs, having fun/interesting/philosophic conversations with old friends and new ones, history and culture, quiz games, listening to music, and having a laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many incredibly beautiful places around the world and so many cool adventures one can do. But to me, what has been truly amazing are all the people I've met near and far. Something that made quite an impression on me was my visit to one of the world's poorest countries where I spent much of the time in rural areas. Most people there have next to nothing. Still everyone we met happily shared what little they had with us knowing that they may not have enough food for the next day. The entire trip was amazing to have done, but at the same time it's one of the most horrible experiences I've had too.
