About Me

Hi! I'm a twenty year old bisexual girl who lives in a small town in Norway. I joined this site because I want to travel as much as I can afford. I would also love to meet people who are visiting Norway. I'm still living with my parents for another year, so I can't promise accommodations, but it's a possibility (at least if you are around my age). I'm a very polite person, to the point of shyness, you might say, but I can be very talkative and open when I'm comfortable. Generally I'd say I'm an optimist, and I like people.

I'm currently thinking about a trip to the United States this summer, and am looking around for places to stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came because I wanted to travel, and I stayed because... well, I still wanted to travel, but I also read about the site's values, and I really liked the idea of sharing your hometown and making the world smaller (figuratively). At the moment I'm especially interested in checking out the US. I love cities, towns and the countryside, but I grew up in a town, so I'm more drawn to cities at the moment.

Interests

Besides travelling, I love books. Mainly YA, although I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter and Les Misérables. I very much enjoy music of different genres, and musicals, and I have a love/hate relationship with writing. I'm quite sure I have a lot of interests (I mean, I have 18 tabs open, and that's just one of my computers; it has to mean SOMETHING), but I can't really articulate what they are... Writing book reviews on Goodreads? Online roleplays? Looking for cheap flights and good colleges? Planning for cosplays I will probably never make? Making playlists and the occasional gif set? Ordering stuff I don't need? Researching some dead revolutionary? You name it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, there it is. Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, The Lumineers, Kodaline, Needtobreathe, fun., Bleachers, Walk the Moon, Sleeping At Last and One Direction are among my favourite bands, and Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Nate Ruess are probably my favourite solo artists. I enjoy a lot, though, and I'm a big fan of musical theatre (Next to Normal is my favourite in that category, but Hamilton is catching up). I love movies, and I actually think most of them have a significant entertainment value. Like I said I read mostly young adult books, but have a special love for Harry Potter and Les Mis. And Neil Gaiman is quickly becoming a favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is starting to feel like bragging. Law of Jante kicking in. One time I threw up literally a dozen times in one day, does that count for amazing? Then I passed the bug on to my entire travel company and as a consequence had to cross the Atlantic Ocean all by myself, having never travelled internationally alone before. Good times.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes. I mean, sure. I'm up to that. Don't know what to put here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I guess I can share some Norwegian culture if such a thing is desirable. Other than that I will be very happy to share popcorn and watch a movie with you. I also make a mean omelette, a simple pizza and a rather good dinner pie.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Monaco, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United States, Vatican City State
