CURRENT MISSION

Preparing for school in PR, saving cash, buckling down... I want to learn as much as I can about the ecology of this beautiful coast and help to defend it, to clean up the mess we've made of it and to nurture it passionately.

ABOUT ME

I'm a west coast woman! Ran away from the prairies and am now loving everything life by the pacific has got to offer. I lived on my sail boat for 2 years and am now living up on the mountain with my partner, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I love nature, I'm into wild edibles, healing herbs and birds a whole lot.

I love to read, watch documentaries, hike in the bush with the dogs, sew, paint. I also enjoy sailing or swimming in the summer. I have interests in rock climbing and bird watching.

Over all I'm a pretty friendly person and find myself able to get along with most people I meet, I try to be pretty easygoing and open. Life is much too short and even though I get down if I think too hard about the world today, I try not too, I try not to be so serious and I love to laugh.

I like the kind of movies that really make you think, but there are far too many to list. I have gone through a lot of change and am finding I like a lot of diversity in my music, I really used to be into the punk scene when I was younger, now I'm much more open with my music tastes and I really enjoy folk, acoustic stuff, grunge, bluegrass, just about anything with a banjo, mandolin or fiddle. One of my very favorite books by the incredible, late Mr. Farley Mowat is 'The Boat Who Wouldn't Float'...

I have had far too many experiences which I would consider amazing out in nature, and in life itself to share in a little box on the internet! Those sorts of things are saved for conversations in person.
