I am a passionate traveler and urban geographer from Finland. In June 2017 I moved to Wollongong to live my dream and do research in the land Down Under. I am planning to stay in Australia at least a few years so keen to travel around and see as much as I can during the time that I have. In the meanwhile I will also be visiting Europe to see my family and explore places I haven't yet been to. I enjoy meeting new people, having a good time (whether it is a hike in the National Park or a night out in the city, both will do!), sharing travel stories and getting to know new places, cultures and customs. I am a curious mind, interested to debate on days politics, urban sustainability, movies and what to eat for dinner. Dreaming big but also enjoying things small and simple. Most of the time I am travelling with my husband, who also shares many of the same interests.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I think couchsurfing is a wonderful way of getting to know new places, cultures and people. Through the platform I have gained so many friends and some of the best experiences and memories that I cherish. In the future I hope to make many more!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

My wildest undergoes have been ice swimming in the Baltic Sea, rafting and surfing in Bali, hitchhiking in Malaysia, climbing to an active volcano in Java, tasting moonshine in Smoky Mountains, eating maggots in Bangkok, racing with an Emu in South Australia and hiking along the ancient Inca trail in Peru.
