Overview
About Me
My name is Inkar and I am from Kazakhstan. I started travelling when I was 19, when I went to Spain to do my Erasmus, and I spent wonderful 6 months in Vigo (Galicia). After this experience, I was in love with Spanish language and learn it during the pandemic 💁🏻♀️ Few years later, I decided to go to Turkey with an AIESEC Global Teacher programme and lived there for 2 years and travelled a little around Turkey (and, of course, learn Turkish). Then I decided to focus on my academic life and came to Italy to do a master’s degree, so that what I’m currently doing at the University of Bologna. I wish I could say I learnt Italian perfectly, but not yet 🫣
I also work as an IELTS tutor online👩🏫
I like crocheting, knitting, painting, reading, and working out. I crocheted many items in my wardrobe 🧶
I was not an active couchsurfer, but last Couchsurfing experiences made me realise that it’s a great way of meeting new people and get inspired by their experiences and stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I get inspired each time I meet new people with very interesting experiences and life paths, and assign new goals to myself. Eliminating cultural barriers and sharing stories - that’s what keeps me here

I like thriller, action, and science fiction movies. Also, enjoy movies with hidden meanings (The Colour of Pomegranates is highly recommended). I am also a huge fan of BBC or National Geographic documentaries.
I used to like classical books. My favourites are Master and Margaret (Bulgakov), Anna Karenina (Tolstoy), Crime and Punishment (Dostoevsky), Norte Dame de Paris (Hugo), The Man Who Laughs (Hugo), Gone with the Wind (Mitchell).
Lately, I’ve been reading non-fiction books (Why Love Hurts, 7 brief lessons on physics, What if?)
