Hi, I'm Inke, a German girl from the north but living in Berlin for 2 and a half years now. I am studying natural resource management and working in the field of the energy transition within the transport sector so I am interested in sustainability in different fields of our everyday life. I like being outside going for a walk or for a run, cooking and from time to time still partying or just enjoying a drink with friends. Mostly going by bike because I don't like taking the underground in Berlin.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met a couple of nice people through couchsurfing that I am still in contact with, even after years, and think it is a nice way of getting to know and helping out people.

Interests

As I already mentioned I am into sustainability in different areas like mobility and travelling (so going mainly by trains now if possible and rather staying in Europe) or food. But don't worry, I am not an extreme person trying to convince people of something they don't want to be convinced of. Apart from that, I like cycling, running or walking, going to concerts, bars or clubs sometimes and also interested in politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Depends on the mood, in the bottom of my heart I am still a rock and indie girl but also more into electronic music now and sometimes German rap. Concerning movies, I loved the joker recently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 10 months in Ireland and am still amazed by the countryside there, it's such a beautiful country. Also travelling a bit through Middle and South America seeing for example coral reefs before they are dying out.

Teach, Learn, Share

Due to my job, I can talk a lot about the climate(non)friendliness of cars etc. Also about the places I've visited like a long time in Ireland and some time in Middle and South America and Sri Lanka.
