Chi sono
I grew up in the South of Germany in a pretty boring town. By the time I had finished school I had developed a passion for graphics and design, which made me do my bachelor studies in Ravensburg, Germany. My semester abroad was spent in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the United States (which I kind of fell in love with) — which is also the reason for why I decided to return and work for one year in a small design firm in town. Feeling the need to do something meaningful with my skills and experiences in design I then continued to Northern Italy, where I studied "Eco-Social Design" – aiming at using my time for design projects in the eco-social field, supporting communities, non-profits and finding my way into environmental education by co-creating a permaculture program for children called "wildbunt".
Funnily, I am not a big fan of social media in general (with exceptions). Rather the old school kind, writing letters, postcards — actually meeting and seeing people in real life. I am not a big fan of being among many people, but enjoy face-to-face relationships with few people. Being around animals makes me enormously happy, which is why I have always tried to borrow other people's pets when possible. Traveling lots still hasn't made me the perfect pet owner yet. We'll see what the future brings though ;-)
Well, in a nutshell: I want to value my time on earth and spend it wisely. By that I mean — I want a job or occupation I like (I believe careers are artifical inventions). I want to go out there into this great unknown world, I want to keep moving and learning.

I enjoy getting to know people from all over. I have had a few good experiences already with Couchsurfing and would be happy to have some more! It's always great to find people to exchange with, have a good, long talk, tell stories, inspire.

Musica, film e libri
Movies: I like movies that do not try to please the viewer with standard emotions. I am not a big fan of the Hollywood cinema, even though there are (as always) exceptions. I like movies that are real and authentic and that get you thinking. Movies that are like you and me. To give some examples:
A Woman Under The Influence, Into The Wild, Milk, I am Sam, The Butterfly & the Diving Bell, Philadelphia, Life of Brian and much more.
Music: This is harder to answer because for me there are different types of music — the music I think is beautiful and aesthetic in a musical sense. Then there is the kind of music that is cheesy and poppy (like the 70s and 80s) which I love too as it's the best music to party and get out of control. Then there's Blues and Jazz and Swing — I am especially a fan of Gipsy Swing / Jazz! There's Folk and Bluegrass and Americana, which is wonderful for live concerts and there's the music for rainy days when you want to be alone and wander. Like John Cassavetes once said: "I like all music. Silence is death."
Books: This is even harder. What will I remember? I liked "Culture Jamming" by Kalle Lasn, I liked "Ready Player One" (even though I am not at all a video-game-person) and I also liked "Letters To A Young Poet" by Rainer Maria Rilke. All kinds of stuff as you can see. Sophisticated philosophical thoughts, political and cultural writings as well as fictional / non-fictional books. Ah — and not to forget — comedy! Two favorites of mine are Bill Bryson and Terry Pratchett.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Traveled San Francisco for two weeks last year and took some time to focus on photography during my trip. Was great to just wander independantly, search for beautiful spots in the city.
What was cool as well was my WWOOFing experience in France. I worked on a small farm with a farmer — seeding, planting, harvesting vegetables, vending them on the market. Working outside with my own two hands, sitting in the middle of a field on a sunny day — those moments were fabulous!
Insegna, impara, condividi
I enjoy doing crafts and working with paper - creating letter paper, postcards, decoration, gifts. I love to bake and cook (not only typically German dishes) and can certainly help answering grammatical questions on German grammar!
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
I can offer to teach some basics in German, forward some good (not only German) recipes for cooked and baked goods like home-made bread or spreads, provide you with sewing advice, give introductions in handlettering or photography.
