Music, Movies, and Books
At the moment i really love the books by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, like Americanah, Half of a Yellow Sun and Purple Hibiscus.
favorite band at the moment is IBEYI, but i do enjoy a variety of music like Hip Hop, Electro, also i love bands like Tinariwen or Tamikrest who do Desert Blues
a movie i really like is called Waste Land. It's about the brazilian artist Rik Muniz who, together with the workers at one of the largest garbage dumps of the world in Rio de Janeiro, creates big objects of trash. The movie explores the transformative power of art and shows how art can be used to giving people a voice and by that political power as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was carneval in Olinda, Brazil, 2015. Me and my friends had a great time celebrating - and a not so great hangover the next morning. Luckily we had a couchsurfer named Summer staying with us at the time, and he happened to be a Kundalini Yoga teacher. He prepared the living room and gave us a Yoga lesson i will never forget, because during that lesson, we went from hangover to feeling so energetic and happy...end of story i never stopped practicing Kundalini Yoga ever since. Thank you, Summer!
