ABOUT ME

I just finished teaching English for a year in South Korea. Teaching was never something I expected myself to end up doing. But, it turns out, I love it. Interacting with awesome kids on a daily basis was much more fun than I could have ever imagined. I guess that makes it okay that I still have no idea what 'career' I want to have. All I know is that I don't want a 'real job'. Instead, I'll keep on,traveling. As of now, I'm just looking for the next country I'll teach English in (fingers crossed for Vietnam!).

PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that being as cool as possible to as many people as possible makes you have a better life. Having cool people around where you can be yourself and talk about anything without the fear of being judged is something I strongly desire. If you can be nice with the people around you, you will have a good time on this planet. I also think that everyone should have something in their life that they enjoy so much that it gets them out of the bed in the morning, eager to do it. Having a passion like this will make life immensely more enjoyable.

兴趣

Exploring new places, writing, hiking, reading, riding bikes, enjoying nature, meeting cool people, philosophy, sociology, and fun conversations. I am willing to try just about anything at least once!

I have just recently begun to become an avid reader but some of my early favorites are The Dark Tower and anything else that involves adventurous worlds.

I enjoy a bunch of different types of music but usually when I'm listening to music it's because I want to wind down so I'll throw on some John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Avett Brothers, M83, Bon Iver, or Rebelution.

Pretty much any movie can catch my attention but I particularly like ones where you really have to think about what's going on like Cloud Atlas, Inception and Fight Club.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

While studying as an exchange student in Australia, I went on a two week road trip down the west coast with 9 other people that I had met while down under. One of the highlights was going scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef.
