I am Iwen. I come from Taiwan and now I'm taking the master's degree in Urban studies and planning in Helsinki. I am introverted but willing to make friends, chat with others and share my stories, also I really like listening to the life stories from people with different backgrounds from me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel as many European countries as possible within my 2-year study here. I usually travel alone without many plans or schedule. I like to stay in a place for many days to discover there deeper and I always try to travel as a local rather than a visiter. Couchsurfing might be a good way for me to meet good people there, to make connection with others, to get secret restaurant lists:) and to experience the life living there. Also this method could support me fanatically to travel more with limited budget.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, I went to a Ukranian refugee school in Budapest as a volunteer for two weeks. It is one of the most meaningful things I've done in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My current study life in Helsinki and my travel experiences around different countries; my major of urban studies and planning; everything related to Asian culture, maybe I can cook some Asian food for you if you are interested :)
