Current Mission: eat more vegetables

My name is Jamie Seiffer and I write rhymes

I live in Boulder and I love to ski
If you like having fun you should hang with me
I like to hike I like to bike I used to ride my scooter
Got respect for the females so I boycott Hooters
You will find me tossing disc or dreaming of the lake
But I might have facial hair so you'll need a double take
I'll wax philosophical - mind contortion
Don't like 'em, don't have one (that's my thoughts on abortion)
While I'm very open minded I won't tolerate your hatin'
I eat a lot of food but I don't gain any weight (and)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard of Couchsurfing from a roommate when she hosted some people on our couch (read: floor). The next summer (2008) I traveled around Europe and I surfed with a handful of people and it was awesome. Since that trip I've acquired a real couch and I've hosted dozens of people in Boulder, CO and Burlington, VT. I helped organize the Boulder Couch Crash (2012, 2013) and it was a blast! I tell almost everyone I know about CS.

I'm on Couchsurfing because we had faces before we had Facebook. CS offers an unparalleled experience in using the internet to facilitate human-to-human interaction. I have met so many excellent people because of CS and these experiences have solidified my belief in the goodness of the human spirit.

I don't know you yet, but I would like to meet you.

I hate the taste of cilantro, but I LOVE the smell of clean laundry, hand signals on bicycles, eating toast, crazy lightning storms, full moons, fresh tracks in waist-deep pow, cuddling, olives, the sound of billiard balls hitting each other, bicycles, flowers blooming in the spring, the burnt top on creme brulée, rumbling thunder, tomatoes fresh off the vine, meeting new people, and riding trains.

Life is short. Do whatever the fuck you want.

Freedom is the creative adaptation of limitation.

Just as one slice into a loaf of bread produces two pieces, you must multiply your wisdom.

Is any sport better than ultimate? By definition, no.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise hikes are one of the best ways to start the day. Highlights for me have been Delicate Arch (Utah), Mount Washington (New Hampshire), Mount Sanitas (Colorado) and Mount Masada (Israel).

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: Next time you make ice cubes, use hot water. They will freeze faster this way.

I am skilled with a rubber spatula--undoubtedly the most superior kitchen utensil--and I can teach you how to get the last drop out of a bowl, scramble eggs, and play the drums.

LEARN: I'd like to learn how to make music electronically, but not necessarily "electronic music." I also would like to improve my chess game.

SHARE: Does correlation imply causation? http://xkcd.com/552/
