About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Walking across the country to end discrimination based on gender identity/expression and sexual orientation.

ABOUT ME

Into the Light – Beginning in May 2011, I embarked upon a journey from the Pacific Northwest of the United States, walking 6,000 miles to Washington DC. I am holding numerous candle light vigils along the trek at the specific places where people have been murdered or have taken their own lives due to gender expression/identity discrimination. Providing gender expression/identity workshops and civil disobedience trainings along the way and theatrical performances inspiring people to walk into their own light and true potential, this 9-18 month journey will help bring forward more people into the effort for full social and legislative equality. Please check out the website for more information at www.intothelightwalk.com

PHILOSOPHY

That each of us is equally as powerful to shape our own world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am walking from Seattle, Washington, down through the south, and back up to Washington D.C. to raise awareness about discrimination based on gender, gender expression, gender identity and sexual orientation. I will need places to stay along the way. Please help!

I slept on the street and fasted for civil rights. That was powerful and fun!
