ABOUT ME

Translator by training, wanderer by instinct. I’ve lived in Iceland, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, China, and Australia, teaching languages, collecting stories, and following curiosity wherever it leads.
In 2018 I cycled from Italy to the UAE, then continued overland from Nepal toward New Zealand until the world hit pause.
From 2020–22 I drifted around southern Europe and the Canary Islands, mostly on two wheels. I was near the Polish–Ukrainian border when the war began, helping where I could.
The past two years I roamed Australia on a Working Holiday Visa — from tropical coasts to the deep outback.
Now I’m back on the move. Slow travel, open conversations, shared meals. That’s the rhythm.

WHAT I’M INTO
Long, meandering conversations. The kind that stretch over tea, wine, or a long walk.
Arthouse cinema, contemporary art, urbex explorations, Slavic poetry, ex-Yugoslav and Soviet architecture, hitchhiking stories, spontaneous bike odysseys.
I believe in grassroots wisdom — the kind learned on dusty roads and between languages.

Getting stuck in the quicksands with an off-road vehicle in eastern Iceland.
