About Me

A child, unapologetically so. Fearful and reckless, clumsily shy and obnoxiously loud, a loyal friend and a horrible person, with a bad memory and good intentions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm constantly surprised and fascinated by humans and what they're capable of. I believe in people, unconditionally. Every new friend means a new perspective, a new trajectory, a new world. Connecting with someone else will always leave a mark, no matter how small and insignificant it might seem - and I do love change, both in myself and everywhere else.
The mere fact that a network such as Couchsurfing even exists seems to me further proof that people are just amazing, that's all.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Boris Vian, Kim Ki-duk, Tom Waits, Kurt Vonnegut, Duke Ellington, Emir Kusturica

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched children dance to rock 'n' roll music every day, for a year; marched through a forest for an entire night without getting eaten by bears; allowed myself to fall in love all the way to the bottom of the hill.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn Icelandic, Polish, Norwegian and Portuguese. I want to learn how to dance foxtrot, to play a double bass, to climb rock walls, to bake macarons, to pack a suitcase perfectly. There's still so much I need to learn that I really can't afford being picky. I want to learn everything, for as long as I possibly can.
I don't know if there's anything I can do that someone else would like to learn. But if I did find anyone who wanted my help, I'd never say no.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you my stories, sure - even though I'd much rather listen to yours.
I can bake decent cookies and cakes, if you have an oven or a rice cooker - but then you're doing me a favour.
I can tell you all about my weaknesses and most embarrassing secrets, and make you feel powerful and socially adequate in comparison - and also funny, as opposed to me.

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, Japan, Romania
