Hello! My name is Ione (eye-oh-nee) and I'm 21 years old. Last year, I decided to leave university after studying for two years, so that I could travel the world and live my dreams! After backpacking solo around Asia, I decided to start my own business selling handmade indigenous artisan goods I find in markets on my travels.

I've backpacked solo before, staying in hostels. Although traveling this way is amazing and helps you meet so many incredible people, I really missed little things like having a home to come back to at the end of the day, cooking my own meals, having space to practice yoga, and building on long-term relationships. I'm hoping that joining the Couchsurfing community will help to find a home and new family in each place I visit!
