ABOUT ME

My name is Sarah, I am 33 & happily married to the most wonderful man on the planet and have 2 great kids. But that is not all that defines me. All my life I have LOVED to wander. My poor parents could not begin to count how many times I stayed out late without calling, or got lost in a crowd because I got bored with them. Currently I am learning French & German & would enjoy a chance to better my skills. I am also a stand-up comedian when I am not slaving away at the DOT. Although I may appear to be a typical mom, I do have a wild side that I need to let out to play! Intellectually, I am an avid history buff and a true fine arts afficionado.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really have a quote or anything, but what really gets to me is how so many people, especially in my country, waste opportunities. It's so easy to just live life day-to-day, but i think that's like living life with your eyes closed. There is so much to see & do just for the pure pleasure of experience. I also think people need to be very empathetic to others. There is no right or wrong except in how we treat each other.

Interests

I am an avid traveler with a fondness for foreign cultures. My friends like that I am comfortable in virtually any situation, from an insurance seminar to a soccer match to partying at Studio 54 in Vegas.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too numerous to mention, but I would have to say my favorite movies are Amadeus & Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle, my favorite books are Anna Karenina & Calvin & Hobbes Cartoons, and I can honestly say I love any kind of music not laden with swear words. Truthfully, I really enjoy a wide variey of films ( I have a fondness for independent films), as well as a fascination with non-fiction books (especially biographies), and in my CD case you'll find as much Ravel as you will Metallica (Bolero is in my car CD player right now.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gave birth to 2 kids. They are wondrous adventures, but I want to do more than that. I have perfomed stand-up comedy for a while now, partied in Las Vegas with Great White, and invented a thermonuclear fusion reactor (sorry, just padding the resume on that last one:)

I am a Las Vegas party girl! If you need a REAL guide, I'm there. BUt I live in Des Moines, kind of a forgotten secret of America. It's BEAUTIFUL! If you ever want to see REAL Americana, I can take you all around to Amish communities, family farms, and then onto big cities like Chicago & Minneapolis all within a few hours.
