About Me
Hello everyone!
I’m a 28-year-old Turkish woman with a background in environmental engineering and a sustainability master’s degree 🌳 For the past 5 years, I’ve been living in Warsaw, Poland. A year ago, I quit my fancy corporate job to follow a long-held dream: moving to New Zealand 🥝 I’ll be going there on a working holiday visa at the end of September!
Once in New Zealand, I want to try all kinds of jobs I’ve always been curious about – from farm work and agriculture to bartending and more. Until then, I’m traveling around the world with no fixed plan. For the first time, I think I can truly call myself a traveler ✨
I am an open-minded, adventurous, environmental and LGBTQ+ friendly person 🌼🌈
Another passion I recently discovered (just a year ago!) is festivals 🎶 Since then, I’ve been to many, both as a guest and as a volunteer. Some of my favorites are Roskilde Festival and Sziget, and most recently I experienced the magic of Boom Festival 🌟
Travel, for me, is an intense form of life. In such a short time we experience everything – joy, craziness, sadness, excitement, confusion, blessings, and sometimes disappointments. Not just the highlights, but the realness. And in that realness, I feel the most free and alive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I know it shows that I’ve only used Couchsurfing in one country, but in reality I’ve had more experiences than that 😊 I also used different platforms, and sometimes people simply forgot to leave feedback. Luckily, through Couchsurfing I’ve met some truly amazing people. One of my hosts even became a close friend — now whenever I visit his city, we always meet up, and we’ve even gone to festivals together 🎶✨
For me, Couchsurfing is not just about a free place to stay. I can always choose a hostel if needed. What excites me is the chance to connect with locals — to share culture, stories, or even just grab a beer together. I love seeing the non-touristic side of a city and embracing its real vibe (except maybe the typical hostel party vibe, haha 🍻).
Most of all, I enjoy the spontaneity: meeting new people, being surprised, and appreciating whatever life brings along the way 🌼

Music, Movies, and Books
I love rock music, also as a guilty pleasure pop! Britney bitch 💃
As it comes to movies, I believe my favorite movie would be "Call Me by Your Name" 🍑
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked someone who was a murderer 🤩 In the middle of nowhere, while we were drinking tea and eating something, he started to talk about his murder with its all details. I needed to listen and approve it while I was drinking my tea. I was trying not to show my shocked and scared reaction. I had to smile to survive hahah
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking! I’d be happy to make you a proper Turkish breakfast or anything else you’d like 🍳🥗
Tell you all about the travel hacks that I discovered so far 😎😜
If we get along, I’d also love to chat — I think I’m a pretty fun person! We can party, have deep talks, exchange stories, or just go with the flow 🌼🎶
