About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live, laugh, love and learn.
ABOUT ME
After spending two years in Germany and Europe during my Master's program in Environmental Science, I have returned to Canada. I am currently working with fRI Research as a wildlife biologist for grizzly bear conservation projects in the foothills of the Rockies Mountains in Alberta, Canada.
Growing in the Kootenays, BC, I've come to love spending most of my free time in the great outdoors. Whatever the season, weather, or outdoor sport, I am keen for the adventure.
One of my strongest passions is experiencing something new, which is why I love travelling as I get to see new places and faces. I enjoy learning about people from around the world, their cultures, history, language, and also sharing my culture with others.
I have been to Central America four times, and two of the trips (to Costa Rica and Nicaragua)were humanitarian, then there was Mexico, and I also lived in Panama for 4 months. I've also travelled around Europe for two months visiting Dublin, Ireland, Spain and France. After doing a Field Study Semester in Panama I travelled to South American (Colombia, Peru, Bolivia) for 3 more months getting to know fantastic people and spending a lot of time hiking and exploring the beautiful landscapes. I've done a few climbing trips in the west coast of Canada and the US, and many others in Europe as I recently spent 2 years studying in Germany.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For me couchsurfing is a great way to get to know all sorts of interesting people and share what we know and have together.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My very first time being hosted was in Kilrush, Ireland. My hosts were extremely welcoming and comforting, it was wonderful. I stayed at a home in Belle-Ile-en-Mer in France which was yet another great experience. I've also stayed with great couchsurfer's in France, Peru, Bolivia and Canada.
Interests
Along with that nature and doing things outside in general, I love climbing, slacklining, highlining, camping, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, biking, yoga, acroyoga, dancing (swing, salsa, and more), surfing, canoeing, cooking, and drinking tea.
What also really interests me are different cultures; the way people live, talk, sing, dance, eat, pretty much what they do in their daily lives somewhere else in the world. I enjoy sharing with people, learning and teaching, and adventuring in nature.
