One amazing thing that I have seen is some kind of let me say humanity in animals ie pets, they're the most living things that have a true genuine honest heart which you can see in their eyes and they always protect what is around them.

You can never give what you don't have, if you have not cultivated something within and around yourself you can never have that thing and so you can never be able to give it to other people. If you have never cultivated love within and around yourself you can never experience it because you don't have it and so you can never give love to others.
