我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I've never couchsurfed as I write this (May 2015) and I haven't traveled much either, mostly because of my lack of fund$, and because I refuse to be just another average tourist visiting the most known, seen by everyone places of whatever city. I think the beauty of travelling is to get to know the people of the place, getting them to show you the REALITY of the city or the country, if you know what I mean.
Also, I refuse to be in a new, different city and to be staying in a hotel that looks exactly like a spanish hotel and is full of spanish people. That's just boring and doesn't even make sense,
I think Couchsurfing is a GREAT idea, a great way to really travel, meet new peope and get soaked in the essence of the country.

Don't you get overwhelmed every time you see someone on the street and don't know anything about them? like you don't even know why they're there, where they come from, where are they going...
