ABOUT ME

I'm a 21 yo Chilean. I'm studying English because I will be a Teacher of English as a second language. I am going to be in Canada this fall semester (SEPT-Dec08)And during August and January I will ve visiting the country.
I am visiting TORONTO, OTTAWA and MONTREAL from August the 12th till the 19th. On January I will be visiting VANCOUVER and VICTORIA, BC.

***I'm Alonso Poblete Hernández, I'm a 21 yo Chilean guy from Santiago. My star sign is scorpio and I'm single at the moment.

***My occupation is being a student of English and pedagogy. I will be a teacher of English as a foreign/second language in the near future, only if God allows me doing that.
I live with my family (2 parents and 2 siblings) in Santiago and I'm the youngest. (though they will leave the nest soon... they both are getting married so that room will be available).

***My personality: Complicated question. Probably that word describes me quite well, though I think every single human being is very complex only because of being human.
I think I'm outgoing and very talkative. I also think that it is very difficult for me to hide my thoughts or emotions while talking in real life. My face is very expressive and I can't lie very well. I'd rather omit a negative comment or opinion than say it, however you can always use sarcasm in order to do so. =D So in that way, I don't feel I'm being fake.
Self-centered sometimes as well as egocentric. Maybe that is one of the reasons why I decided to become a teacher. I love socializing and being among people I want to. I hate crowds and crowded places. I feel vulnerable being among a crowd. I feel vulnerable when I can't guess well what the other person is thinking of (I love guessing what someone is thinking). That's why I always try to make eye contact while talking. If there's no eye contact, I feel the other person is not interested, uncomfortable and not being sincere.

***I love meeting new people and learning from them. I can also learn from OLD people, if you know what I'm saying. You can always learn from anybody, no matter the age or the occupation, the way you met that person or how long you've met that person.

My sense of humour is quite particular. I love irony and sarcasm. My jokes are mean most of the times, but if you see my silly face while I'm telling them you immediately realize that I'm just fooling around.

My hobbies and interests?... well, let me say that the only hobbie I have is chatting. I mainly do this in English, as a way of practising the new language I'm learning, but sometimes I do a lot of that in Spanish as well (giggling).It depends on the person I am addressing to. I love listening to the music I like (I bet it was hard to guess that).

The kind of music I like is pop music, dance music and some Indie bands. DJ Tiësto is my favourite DJ. I love listening to his tunes and mixes. Actually, one of the things that I like the most about him is that whenever he releases a new album, I immediately love the way it sounds from the beginning to the end.

My favourite films are LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE and PARIS JE T'AIME. I love that kind of films. I love comedie as well. Sit-coms too.

The kind of music I like is pop music, dance music and some Indie bands. DJ Tiësto is my favourite DJ.

Books? I'm very fond of short stories. You can imagine and create your own story from one. Novels are good but sometimes they are too restrictive and I start arguing against the desitions the characters have made.

Well actually I would love teaching you some of my country, city, culture and language. I also think time is invaluable and I think we can learn a lot from our experiences and see how nice people in this world can be. (...+)
