I'm native romanian, moved to London in 2015 after finished my university back home. I've been study geography and mostly I have travelled during uni years but I'm trying now get back on it and see as much as I can and understand cultures around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to start the new year in a positive way, I booked my flight to Oslo but then I realised I might not want to be alone in a hotel room. I think that meeting someone local will give me a much better understanding of the citty and Norwegian culture and a warmer feeling than a hotel room. I always thought that meeting local people is the best way to know a place. I would love to host ppl as well in my place but i am currently sharing the house so it's not only up to me. In case of emergecy I can fit someone in my bedroom but that won't give any of us any privacy 😂

Interests

I love spending time with my friends, having a bbq in their garden, as i don't have one, going together to gigs and festivals. I've been first time to GMM when I was 16 with my best friend in Belgium, from Romania. Our parents definatly didn't realised where we are going. I like socializing and meet new ppl but I do appreciate sometimes just a little time by myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

Metal, trash, folk, I really like medieval instruments as well and bands like Faun for example. I'm not much of a reader but lately I got into tim marshal and his political geography related books. I can enjoy movies as far as they are not since fiction or fantasy :))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do enjoy simple things so for me any festival is amazing but wacken is the best. I've done my mom a birthday present when she got 50, she thougt she is picking up someone else from the airport but was me :)) jumping from an airplane or swimming with sharks will more impressive, I know...it's on my to do list that I've never actually done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good laugh, some nice work/ travel related stories, romanian basics laguage and French as well, I could cook some traditional romanian food, if I can find ingredients and eventually a friend if all goes well :) also if you fancy any particular things from London, I can try and get it to you.
