A few words that could give an impression of my personality would include the following. I am a person of oriental mentality that may be explained by my ethnicity (I am ethnic Korean with a grain of Chinese blood and a pinch of other genes, too tiny and uncertain to be worth investigating) and environment I grew up in. By the word mentality I mean the mode of thinking that includes attitude to life, relationships, values and feeling myself in the community and in the world. However, my concsiousness and education were largely affected by western ideology, in particular literature, music and art. My ideas of morality, ethics and aesthetics were formed under strong influence of Russian literature and poetry, Italian paintings and sculpture, classical music of western composers and even Christian religion, although I cannot say that I am religious. I suppose that this is a kind of phenomenon, which may be called a paradox, when different cultures may be combined in one personality and neither is dominating. Sometimes it makes me feel strange. But normally I feel absolute harmony with the universe. In fact, I am calm and happy person, able to be satisfied with what is available at the moment. A sunny day, a purring cat, a sweet cake, an accidental smile and a tender word may make me feel perfect.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am travelling to Saint-Petersburg, Russia at the moment and staying with my friend and couchsurfer. This is my first trip and couchsurfing experience. I have travelled to Almaty, Kazahstan, Moscow, Russia and Seoul, Korea but I have never surfed before. And I find couchsurfing exciting. I have met a huge amount of people and went through a lot of emotions which I could not even imagine in my life.

One of my greatest passions is Argentine tango. I am very much interested in going to milongas (tango party) in every city I travel. In fact, experience in dancing tango with new people is one of the main reasons for my desire to travel a lot. I have been dancing tango for 4 years by now and feel increasing need to dance with people who have different background in tango.
I am also interested in visiting museums, art galleries and famous places. Unique architecture and city landscape fascinate me a lot.
For quite some time now I am impressed by meeting new people and taking to them.

Amateur restaurant day in SPB. I walked around Saint-Petersburg and visited amateur restaurants to eat unusual food. I walked the whole day long and was tired enormously, but felt great.

I can teach basics of tango technique for women.
I can show how to cook some dishes of Uzbek and Korean cuisine.
I would like to learn Italian, Spanish and French languages.
