ABOUT ME

I'm a single male who has a place of his own and a couch (possible spare room) to share for interesting folks traveling. I've hosted several exchange students from Spain and found the experience to be great. I'm big into education (I teach full time, finished my Ph.D. and recently started my MBA), so learning about new things, places and people are always good. I travel as much as possible and normally visit SW Florida about 6 times a year to enjoy the sun (and to get away from the Ohio snow).

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is Good" (it's on my Jeep wheel cover) - "Do what you like; like what you do".....pretty much sums it up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Finally had my first official "couch surfing" and it was great! I am a frequent visitor to my friend who is a traveling nurse - crashing on her couch in Boston, Hawaii or wherever she may be living at the time. Also, it's not too difficult for folks to get me to come visit and crash on their couch (UNLESS they have a cat - for some reason I have horrible allergies to them)

Interessen

Anything outdoors -- biking, kayaking, hiking, driving around in my Jeep with the top down, playing with my sisters dog (I'm trying to adopt one soon), etc. I guess furthing my education in an interest, although not a particularly fun sounding one!

I'm Irish - so love U2 and an array of other celtic type music bands. Into reading anything I can learn from - true stories, history, etc

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Visited Panama in the summer of 2010 and also took a trip over to Hawaii, which was quite fun. Traveled around Europe a bit (Ireland, France, England) - which was all good. Lots more of the world for me to see yet! My goal is to visit the Gallapagos Islands one of these days -- the idea of a place untouched by mankind (and no McDonald's!) is great. My first cruise in mid-June 2014 to go scuba diving in Belize and a few other cool counties was quite fun.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I teach marketing so I'm always trying to further my education when it comes to various aspects of the business world (which I can then teach to my students). In addition, other cultures/customs interest me greatly. I'm always trying to broaden my knowledge.
