ABOUT ME

I have lived in the Indianapolis area most of my life. I love to laugh and enjoy the world. Am kind and hospitable. Have travelled throughout Europe four times. Love all kinds of music but especially classical and musical theatre. Have wonderfully kind and fun friends. Love to ride bike, hike, dine-out, go to movies, live theatre. Will provide hospitable place to stay and am willing to show guests the hidden treasures of Indianapolis. Left my 25 year career in banking in June, 2007 to take care of seriously ill mom so she would not have to live in nursing facility. Mom passed-away in June, 2008. Have been busy re-settling my life and am looking for part time employment and probably will go back to school to pursue a Master's Degree.

To live life to its fullest by sharing, laughing, learning, travelling and loving old friends, neighbors and creating new relationships and adventurous new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surfing experiences have been vicarious. My best friend for forty years has had a number of couch surfing guests with whom I have had the pleasure of meeting and socializing. I have also helped John host a fun-filled cookout and party for local couch surfing group and have attended a social gathering of local couch surfing hosts in Bloomington, Indiana home of Indiana University. The greatest experience has been a continuing friendship with one of John's couch surfing guest who is currently attending Butler University in Indianapolis. A group of us dine-out, play cards and attend the symphony as a result of this continuing friendship.

Interests

Love all kinds of music but especially classical and musical theatre. Have wonderfully kind and fun friends. Love to ride bike, hike, dine-out, go to movies, live theatre. Have an avid interest in sciences especially astro-physics, anthropology, quantum mechanics, chemistry and biology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any of the Bourne series. Any of the Jack Ryan movies (Patriot Games etc...). Any Indiana Jones movie. Schindler's list. Love Actually. I love Beethoven, Smetana, Tchaichovsky, Brahms, Grieg. Favorite book is E=MC(squared). Love Joseph Campbell books. Also, Care of the Soul by Thomas More.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best experience was travelling in Ireland with my long-time friends. Florence, Italy, Sofia, Bulgaria, Aran Isles off coast of Ireland, the Swiss Alps and Vienna are the most beautiful and enjoyable places I have visited outside of the U.S. The Grand Canyon and Mammoth Cave Ky are two of the most amazing places in the U.S.
