About Me

CURRENT MISSION

There's a whole lot of world out there!

ABOUT ME

I'm an enthusiastic and optimistic person, and I smile a whole lot. I love to fling myself into new situations and experiences. I'm very friendly and it doesn't take long for me to consider someone a friend.

I'm studying anthropology, so I'm really interested in trying to understand people and their experiences and perspectives on the world. I'm simultaneously the ditziest and most scatter-brained person (an absent-minded professor minus the professor), and really good in a crisis.

PHILOSOPHY

Change is possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchsurfing and haven't participated yet, but I've heard lots of great things about it from friends who have hosted and used it for travel.

Interests

I love anthropology, the subject that I'm studying. I'm also really passionate about international development and want to work in development "when I grow up".

I definitely have itchy feet and, shockingly for this site, I love to travel and experience new places - right now I can't wait to graduate and see what the rest of my life has in store. I love hiking in nature - forests are my favourite.

On the more mundane side I love reading fiction (and writing it too), playing video games and dancing. I like seeing little mementos from people who lived before me - museums and flea markets and second-hand shops make me really happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

If it's made with creativity and passion, I'll probably enjoy it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling and doing research by myself in southwest Uganda.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Norwegian, English, anthropology, social science and research. My grandmother's ñoquis de papas, an Argentinean take on an Italian dish. Fun facts about pandas. How to make an origami frog that jumps.

I always love to learn about people's experiences and ways of seeing the world.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Egypt, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Peru, Spain, Sweden, Uganda, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Nepal, Norway, United Kingdom
