About Me

My life has been a bit interesting, and it's hard to explain. I've had many chapters in my life, but currently I live in NYC with my husband who is from Russia. I also have a boyfriend that lives separately from us. My career has mostly been in aviation. My husband is in financial technology, and my boyfriend is in medicine.

I have a very rare disease called Systemic Mastocytosis. It has dictated the chapters of my life and at the moment I am disabled, focusing solely on recovering after my health took a catastrophic dive from three COVID infections and hospitalizations. This disease causes me to have many allergies and I generally have one at least moderate allergic reaction daily that would send most people to the emergency room. I have my own pharmacy that I use to care for myself that is fairly unique in the world and I want to experience as much as I possibly can.

*I am severely allergic to almost all perfumes / cologne / scents. You are welcome to have them in your bag, but please do not use it while visiting. Shampoos, body wash, deodorants are okay and encouraged, just no spray on scents please, ER visits are very expensive in the US.*

I was born with this disease and there is no cure. I'm proud of the life I have built around the illness. . I've been to 67 countries and I've lived on 5 continents. Traveling has been one of the greatest joys of my life and I'm grateful I was able to explore the world in my 20s and 30s. Throughout that decade of traveling and staying with others I was looking forward to the day I could host couch surfers. I am extremely lucky to have a *tiny* guestroom in a safe and clean neighborhood 10 minutes walk to the subway. It's setup mostly as an office so if you work from home you are welcome to plug into my monitor and system.
