ABOUT ME

I would like to say that I'm a rather happy individual, open-minded, and friendly. My friends told me when asked that I have a thirst for learning (a kind way to say I ask too many questions?) and that I'm grounded (a side-effect of listening to too much Jack Johnson perhaps). Finally, I love meeting people cause you never know when you'll make an awesome new friend!

I also believe in aiming for the stars, so at the very least, you'll get further than you thought. In the future, I hope to be a part of/ start an organization that deals with making sure essential information (legals rights/ health) is available to everyone, regardless of what language they speak, and its dissemination. In the meantime, I plan to go to grad school for interpretation as the first step.

I also really, really, extremely love the sun. It makes me happy. This is why, even as a Southern Californian, I own a Verilux Happy Light.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that like snow flakes, we are all unique, and making intense connections can be hard (makes us appreciate it though). Thanks to the internet, geographical barriers disappear and suddenly, we find more people just like us or a new favorite artist... with language being the one thing that still separates us.

The world is so full of beauty, why limit ourselves to our immediate surroundings (though we should always appreciate those already in our lives)?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Don't have a place of my own yet so no hosting, but I love making people fall in love with my oft-misunderstood hometown (both Los Angeles and Alhambra). So if anyone wants a tour or to chill at a café, send me a message!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far only one, but I was hosted in a small town by Dinan and it was amazing. Travel always reminds me of the kindness of strangers and Couchsurfing has really set a high standard. Couchsurfers believe in paying it forward, something I aim to abide by in my own life.
