ABOUT ME

I'm terrible at writing about myself. What can I say that really tells you anything about who I am?

I try to be outgoing, but really I'm quite shy. I'm up for anything fun. I think I'm quite easy to get along with.

I'd do anything for my friends.

I like to party, but not when it's at the cost of doing something more interesting.

I'm a full time professional geek, and let my geekery bleed into my spare time too (though less now that I geek for a living).

I don't like hot weather, but I love sunshine in the spring after a cold winter.

I'd just like to see and experience more of the world!

PHILOSOPHY

My priority for most of my life has been pursuing success in my career, and stability in my life. I think I've achieved both to some degree, and am now ready for something more adventurous. Though I'm proud of what I've achieved, living only for your job is not living at all!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to CouchSurfing -- I've not surfed or hosted yet. I was encouraged to join by a friend who extolled its virtues until I had no choice :)
I'm currently looking for hosts for my backpacking trip around Europe in March. I'll be more specific when I know where I'm going to be.

My taste in music could be described as varied, or terrible. I like a lot of stuff currently in the UK charts, but will listen to anything really.

I'm a sucker for fun chick flicks, like Sliding Doors and Love Actually.
