In early 2014 I quit the day job, packed my bag and took to travelling the world with my girlfriend, Carol.

After spending most of the year riding the trains and volunteering around Europe the travel fund was running low so I combined my passions for the outdoors and travel and took a role working for a forestry company in Uruguay.

I'm friendly and have a relaxed attitude towards life but enjoy a good challenge as well. Learning Spanish to get by in my new home country is currently top of the list.

Interests

I love travelling and exploring new places. Some of the best discoveries I have made haven't been in places I have traveled half the world to see but in local areas that I have had the time to get to know really well.

I enjoy hiking and cycling, anything that can get me outside. I also enjoy reading,cooking, planting and growing things, kicking back and relaxing with a drink and socializing with old and new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I enjoy reading historical fiction, thrillers, biography's of interesting people. I always have at least one book on the go, usually something that someone has recommended regardless of genre.

Music: I'll listen to any band who can put on a decent live gig regardless of genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I challenged my fear of heights by skydiving from 15,000 feet.
